Jessie Waldron Gianino (Class of 1994) recently completed the 26.2 mile Chicago Marathon. She finished in the top fifth with a time honors of 4 hours and 22 minutes.
Matthew Mehring (Class of 2003) was named to the 2007 SICA All-South Football Team.
Jane Niermann Yates was this year's Distinguished Graduate. Mrs. Yates is very involved with church by lecturing, singing in the choir and working with youth groups at the Diocesan and national levels. She is a parishioner at St. Peter and Paul in Waterloo.
Alicia Eckart (Class of 1999) graduated from SIU Carbondale on May 10, 2008. Alicia earned a Bachelor's of Science in Dental Hygiene.
Joseph Mueller (Teacher 1967, 1968-1969) taught Grades 5-8 at St. John's. Joseph retired from teaching in 1994. Currently, he enjoys doing volunteer work at St. Elizabeth's Hospital. He would love to hear from students from his teaching years at SJB! He can be contacted at haas820@aol.com.
Kyle Donjon (Class of 1996) and Caroline Turner were united in marriage August 2nd, 2008 at St. John the Baptist Church in Red Bud.
Jamie Cowell Hohgrefe (Class of 1989) and her husband,Jim, welcomed the birth of a son, Seth Lee, on 6/11/2008. Seth joins a big brother, Landon, and a big sister, Dakota.
Brad Trost (Class of 2004) graduated from Red Bud High School in May of 2007. Red Bud High School awarded him the Citizenship and SARS Award. Brad is currently attending Southwestern Illinois College (SWIC).
Corrina Logston and Travis Pautler (Class of 2004) were named Illinois State Scholars this years as Seniors at Red Bud High School. Illinois State Scholars rank in the top 10% of the state's high school seniors.
Bethany Vogt Kazmierczak (Class of 1992) and her husband Christopher are proud to welcome their first child, Jacob Christopher. Jacob was born on January 26th, 2008.
Brandon Kunkel (Class of 2004) tied Red Bud High School's 29 year old record for most points scored. He surpassed his 1000th point for his high school career and tied the school record for most points scored in a game-44. He recently signed a letter of intent to play basketball for Lindenwood College.
Annie Grohmann (Class of 2001) was voted to second team all conference as a member of the Lindenwood Lady Lions volleyball team. The team made it to the NAIA National Championship Tournament for the first time in school history. Annie led the conference with 259 blocks, 304 kills and 468 total points.
Megan Koudela Koester (Class of 1996) and her husband Matt are the proud parents of Kruz Matthew born December 20, 2007. He joins his big sister Kamry.
Mindy Biethman (Class of 1999) submitted the following to the Alumni Buzz in August of 2008: I graduated in May 2008 from Maryville University with my Masters Degree as an Occupational Therapist. I just gave my final presentation about children with Autism in July 2008. I am presently waiting to receive a letter that will tell me when I am eligible to take my State Boards Exam. I have a job interview at Missouri Baptist Hospital this Wed. and just recently did an on line job interview this week at St. Luke's Hospital. I currently completed field work at Ranken Jordan Children's Rehab Hospital in St. Louis, MO. I babysit for a 2 yr, old foster child during the week and also work in the nursery on Sunday mornings and evenings as an Aide at the Presbyterian Church in Chesterfield, MO. I also babysit regularly for other children who's parents attend the same church. I have made many friends and acquaintances there. I have enjoyed attending the Maryville University School in Chesterfield, MO and feel that the education I received at St. John's Catholic School and Gibault Catholic High School has helped me tremendously. I love the field that I have chosen and truly enjoy working with children. Thanks to all the staff at St. John's for the great education I received and for your devotion and encouragement.
