Latch Key Program

PURPOSE: To provide before and after school care, with your child's safety and happiness the number one priority.

HOURS:  6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. /  2:50 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

LOCATION:  The latchkey program is based in the cafeteria.  Children must be signed in and/or out of the program.  A sign up sheet will be located by the door.

FEES: A.M. Fees:  1st child: $3.00, 2nd child: $2.00, 3rd child: $1.00

                        P.M. Fees:  1st child: $5.00, 2nd child: $4.00, 3rd child: $3.00.

                        Each   additional child per family is $3.00.  This includes a nutritional snack.

LATE FEES and PICK UP:  There will be a late fee of $1.25 for every five minutes that a parent is later than 6:00 p.m.

ATTENDANCE:  The latchkey program will be open for attendance the same days as St. John the Baptist School.  On the "snow days", no sessions will be held.  On days of early dismissal, there will be afternoon sessions with an additional $3.00 per child fee.

PROGRAM: The latchkey program will consist of a variety of creative and structural activities that will coincide with a daily routine of homework/study time and free play.

SNACKS:  Snacks will be provided and will consist of a variety of foods such as cookies, chips, popcorn, fruit, pudding, peanut butter or cheese crackers and a drink.  We will try to keep them as nutritional as possible.

SAFETY INFORMATION: The latchkey program will have a list of emergency information on your child and also a list of people authorized to pick up your child.   Children will only be allowed to leave with a person listed on their information sheet.
