Retreat

Thanks to all the volunteers we helped make our retreat a success.  Thanks too for all the prayers for the great weather.  We certainly got lucky. 

 

Scrip Cards

You can call Lizette Poston (282-4582 or cell 618-901-8360) to order scrip cards.  We are again giving everyone an opportunity to win a $10.00 gift card to one of these places:  Arby’s, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Subway, or Red Bud IGA.  Just place an order this month and your name will be automatically entered into the drawing.  The winner decides which $10.00 card to spend!  Call Lizette or check out the school website and send in your order and money to the school office. 

You can order IGA (from $5 - $500) anytime and everything else by Sunday evening.  Please DON’T reload the Wal-Mart or IGA cards, but re-order them through Lizette. 

 

DIRECTV

If you are an existing customer, SJB will receive $50 for a year commitment and if you sign up as a new customer, SJB will receive $100 for a year commitment.  Please call 888-388-4724 to sign up, and give them our school code, A1137.  If you have DIRECTV with Harrisonville Telephone Company, please let them know when you call that you want to continue with them.

 

Graduations

All our graduations have been set.  Pre-school will be on Wednesday, May 19th at 9:30 AM.  The 8th graders will graduate on Thursday, May 20th at 7:00 PM.  Our kindergarteners will graduate on Friday, May 21st at 10:00 AM.  All will be held in Church.

 

Congratulations

Congratulations to the entire eighth grade class!  Each student had his or her poem accepted to be published by Creative Communications in their poetry book A Celebration of Poetry.

 

Congratulations to our Quest team who placed 6th out of 21 teams at the Midwest Finals held in Chester.

 

Golf

There is still time to register for the golf scramble on Saturday, May 22nd.  You may also sponsor a hole for $50.00.  If you can volunteer to help on that day, please call Sue Todaro at 282-6037 or Dee Bollinger at 282-4168.

 

Red Bud Muskets

There are flyers in the school office for anyone interested in registering for the 2010 Football/Cheerleading Camps.

 

Sports News

 

Track uniforms & spikes should be turned in next week.

 

Athletic banquet is Monday, May 17th at 6:30 PM.

 

Sports physicals are in your family envelope for students who are going into 4th, 5th, 7th, and 8th.  Dr. Birner’s office is again offering SPORTS physicals in July and donating the money back to our school.  All incoming 6th graders need a complete physical and those will be in your report cards that you will pick up on Tuesday, May 25th.
